Lasik Eye Surgery

Vision is one your most important senses, and in a sense, it’s one of the most fragile. As a result, doctors and researchers have looked for better ways to correct vision problems since the invention of eyeglasses. The invention of the exciter (ultraviolet wavelength) laser in the 1970s provided a new tool, and in 1988, the first laser eye surgery was performed. The Lasik procedure was approved in the U.S. in 1993, Khanna Eye Centre is also performing lasik since last 25 Year.

What Is Lasik ?

Lasik stands for Laser-Assisted-In-Situ Keratomileusis. Keratomileusis is the technical term for surgically reshaping your cornea, which is the rounded, transparent cover over your iris and pupil. Your cornea helps you focus on the images you look at. Lasik surgery changes your cornea’s shape to correct common vision problems, such as: Astigmatism Hyperopia& myopia All these Problems are due to abnormally in shape of cornea & length of eye hall .In this surgery the cornea is reshaped so that light entering the eye can be focused on Retina It is Also known as laser vision correction.

How does LASIK work ?

During the LASIK procedure, a specially trained eye surgeon first creates a precise, thin hinged corneal flap using a microkeratome or Femtolaser like(Zed or Intralase). The surgeon then pulls back the flap to expose the underlying corneal tissue, and then the excimer laser ablates (reshapes) the cornea in a unique pre-specified pattern for each patient. The flap is then gently repositioned onto the underlying cornea without sutures.

Who is a good candidate for LASIK Surgery?

Like any laser surgical procedure, the go-ahead for Lasik surgery is not given to every spectacle-user. Some of the pre-requisites of laser lasik surgery are:

  • The candidate should be at least 18 years old.
  • The candidate should not be suffering from any eye disease/infection.
  • The candidate should not be a pregnant, nursing or planning to conceive.
  • The eye prescription should have been stable for about a year and the refractive error should fall within the permitted range for Lasik, Lasik -12 D.sph in 550m cornea.
  • Anybody who wishes to consider Lasik eye surgery must be willing to understand its potential risks, complications and side-effects which are duly explained by the surgeon.

Type Of Lasik

100 % Blade Free Lasik

1. Tissue saving Q I Lasik Xtra

2. Tissue saving Q ZED Lasik

Lasik Uses Asperic

1. Customised Aspheric Q Lasik

2. Standard/Plano Lasik

100 % Blade Free Lasik With Femto second laser

Have you been thinking of laser vision correction ? shed your doubt’s, concerns because blade free lasik is more accurate, more precise and much safer than blade Lasik. Khanna eye centre two types of blade free Lasik treatment for your specks removal.

  1. Advanced Customised Tissue Saving Q I Lasik Xtra

  2. It is Most advanced robotic Surgery with safest technology (only technology) that strengthen the cornea instead of weakening the cornea. That,s why it is superior to SMILE & CONTRA VISION etc. it is fully robotic surgery where no sharp instrument touches your eye. it will not only correct your power it will remove your corneal imperfection also. it ablates 20% less tissue than other customised procedures that’s why it is safer than other Lasik and leave thicker corneal Bed. it is true customised aspheric treatment, done by checking Number at 3500 points & surface irregularities at 22000 points. Keratoconus( A dreaded complication of Lasik / SMILE ) has not been reported with this procedure. so go ahead with this technology.

2. Advanced Customised Tissue Saving Blade Free Lasik

(Femto Lasik/ Zed Lasik/All Lasik/ I Lasik/ Turbine assisted epi-Zed Lasik)

  1. Safer (no fear of blade on eye )
  2. Precies : better quality of ultra thin flap so better visual outcome
  3. Sharper vision
  4. Personalised treatment
  5. Single use sterile pack for every eye so no reusable Instrument, There fore less chance of any infection.

Blade Lasik

Lasik Procedures With Micro Keratome( Metallic Blade) Prior to the internalase laser LASIK’s first steps was done manually with an oscillating razor blade called a micerokertome. this device causes the majority of Lasik complication rarely used now in advanced countries but in India microkertome is used to reduce cost of lasik procedure

Note:>if Center is not claiming that is blade free then consider it as blade surgery because 95% Lasik center in India does not have blade free facility.

  1. Customised Aspheric Q Lasik
  2. In Customised procedures a comprehensive map of patient’s eye is Created by checking number at around 3500 points & surface map by checking around 22000 points at the end accelerated Cross Linkage is Performed to Strenght the cornea heals for best result. Each point is treated accordingly to give you best possible vision with reduce helos& glare by feeding the maps.

This Programme is specific like our finger print . it is OPD scan guided laser system which means instead of just treating glasses power, this technology can treat imperfection in individual cornea & optical system so resulting in better vision than Standard Lasik.

  3. Standerd Lasik
  4. In standard Lasik, We are feeding the common glasses number in the Laser of computer. This treat only your glasses number. it is same for every patient of same Number Stop Gelling Framed by glasses, choose best.
